Taming the Human is the eighth book in the White Horse Clan Series. The premise was good and a follow up on Jean-Luc's human mate rejection from a previous book. In that story Brant was hateful and the mating wouldn't have worked so Brant's mind was wiped and he was sent off back to his life. So here it is two years later and Jean-Luc is still bearing a grudge against Brant. He's since mated with the clan doctor, Niall, a vampire. Both are happy together but they know it's time to get reacquainted with Brant. Now. despite all that, Niall and Jean-Luc spend most of the book together and away from Brant and Joe. The delay was understood but we never hear how giving Brant time is making Brant see reason. We never get into Brant's head. We don't know why he changed his mind. There was a huge gap from step A to tab C outcome.

So two years on and there's no follow up of Brant's change of heart. He goes from one extreme to another and it's hard to believe he's forgiving to Joe, his wolf alpha, loving, not selfish or upset. He's human. I expect some human emotion besides ignoring the problem. This was especially true when Niall, Joe, and Jean-Luc get together a few times without Brant and who knows if Brant knew -- He never acted jealous. Never mentions cheating. One time Brant just walks in on the three others and wants to participate. At that point with everyone naked, Jean-Luc *suddenly* is able to forgive Brant . . . No words or gestures but straight to sex. There are no deep interesting characters here. Everything is solved with sex. And this one repeated phrase: 'dark channel'. And that bragging rights by Joe being a 'fertile alpha'. *eye roll*

The story premise was good but the execution was so simplistic. 'Taming The Human' wasn't really about taming Brant. Well if ignoring tames someone I guess that happened. - Dan's Wife

I didn't want to put it down. Wonderful story of misunderstandings and second chances, even if they take time..... Just when you think you have come to terms with what life has handed you, there's a twist. I have waited for Jean-Luc to finally get his mates, I just wasn't expecting the twist and turns.... This goes on my reread list.
I wish book was little bit longer and less sex, but was good anyways. Kids were cute. I like men having babies.
This was extremely great I Loved it and I hope there will be more of it and if there is going to be I can't wait .....
